Margherita Morellini is an Italian freelance illustrator.

She successfully completed her studies in Illustration and Digital Illustration 
at the International School of Comics in Reggio Emilia, in 2018.

Margherita also holds a bachelor’s degree in Linguistic Mediation obtained 
from the Istituto di Alti studi SSML Carlo BO of the Univeristy of Bologna in 2014,
 following which she decided to transform her passion from drawing, 
cultivated since her early age, into a profession, and become an illustrator.

Despite her young age, Margherita immediately started  working as freelancer 
on the production of both digital and regular illustration for private companies and individuals
 in the creative Studio Colombo 33 in Carpi.

In addition to her work at the atelier, 
Margherita collaborated with important publishing houses, 
realizing the covers and internal illustrations for children’s books:
Ilaria Zannoni, Under Their Eyes, 2019, Edizioni Libre.
Claudio Rossi Marcelli, Tutto un altro pianeta, 2020, Mondadori.
Cristiana Valentini, Blu. Storia di un colore, 2022, Editoriale Scienza Giunti

In parallel, Margherita also contributed to illustration projects of different nature, 
such as The Blue Knight (Delicatessen Visual & Azabache Films Production)and
Custodi del Mondo (Zecchino d'Oro, 63rd edition for Rai Play)
Reggaetonno (Zecchino d'Oro, 64rd edition for Rai Play)
animated short-films for which she worked as illustrator and colorist,
 and the interactive site AbbracciMusicali sponsored by Huggies, 
creating illustrations and the graphics.
